Use the BeagleBone Black Serial Port to Connect to a Device. This example shows how to create a connection to a serial device, write data to the device, and read data from the device. Research the manufacturer product information to determine which baud rate, data bits, parity, and stop bit settings the serial device supports. This software supports McDATA Fibre Channel switch. From the serial port, and configure the settings using the config ip ethernet command. Of the McDATA.

Jul 13, 2006 Trying to setup a new McDATA 6064 and can't comunicate with the maintenance port (DB-9) located on the backside of the 6064. Tried these settings. I think the IPaddress has been set to some other address so that is the reason I am going thru the serial port. Is there other settings? RE: McData 6064 configuration Novelli (TechnicalUser).
